Renée Chavez

Renée Chavez is a veteran in the publishing industry, with more than 25 years’ experience in all things editorial for publishers and authors from coast to coast and overseas. A graduate of the University of Memphis, Renée is experienced in all stages of the publishing process and performs an array of editorial tasks, including content editing, copy editing, cover and flap copy writing, collaborative writing, indexing, project management, proofreading, and more. Her work encompasses genres such as academic; biblical theology; fiction (children’s, tweens/teens, and adult); nonfiction (medical, history, business, etc.); and many others. She delights in the details and is one of those rare folks who actually loves The Chicago Manual of Style, often quipping, “I know it like the back of my hand!”

A pastor’s daughter, Renee has penned several articles for PastorResources.com and has also written numerous study and reading group guides for Christian and historical books.

Renée has been married to the love of her life for almost 35 years and is the proud mother of two adult sons. In their spare time, she and her husband hike, bicycle, and hunt for antiques. They stay involved in their local church in Nashville, Tennessee.
