Pam launched her proofreading and copyediting career in 2010 as a freelancer and immediately knew this was the career path that matched her talents and personality. With little more than an intense desire to succeed and a thorough knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style, she built up a resume that now includes over 500 books from dozens of publishers.
Pam earned her English degree from the University of Colorado but worked as a computer programmer at her first job. She eventually quit to raise her four daughters and spent 20 years home schooling, relishing the opportunity to relearn all the academic subjects.
Her favorite genres include memoir, cookbooks, health/nutrition, self-help, science/psychology, Bible/spiritual, historical, as well as fiction.
“If you are looking for an excellent proofreader, I recommend Pam in the US. My book had gone through three rounds of edits and a proofread, and she still found 116 corrections.”
—Robin Speculand, author, World’s Best Bank
“I want to thank Pam Nordberg, who completed the copyedit and proofreading. I always take pride in my writing (given that I was an English major), but she caught several usage and grammar errors that had become habitual for far too long.”
—Mark Higgins, author, Investing in U.S. Financial History
