Christy is a freelance writer and editor with over 20 years’ experience in the book publishing industry. She has been a managing editor, a senior editor, and an editorial director for various publishing houses, as well as owned her own editorial business, The Versatile Pen, since 2001.
As a freelancer, she has written for such authors as Deborah Norville, Newt Gingrich, Mariel Hemingway, and Michael Gerson. In addition, she edits, proofreads, and provides project management services for publishing companies such as Hachette, Baker Publishing Group, and Kensington Publishing. She is committed to doing work of the highest quality and excellence.
Christy holds a bachelor’s degree in theology and a master’s degree in counseling psychology, both from Oral Roberts University. She lives in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, with her two teenage kids, her elderly mom, two dogs, and four cats. In her free time, she likes to nap, scrapbook, and play the piano.
