Amy is a Nashville-based writer and editor who specializes in nonfiction and children’s projects.
She started her career as an editor for HarperCollins Publishers, specializing in four-color products like children’s books, gift books and lifestyle books, and branched off into freelance writing and editing about ten years ago. In addition to her Big 5 publishing clients, she’s been fortunate to work with creatives like New York Times bestselling thriller author J.T. Ellison, founder of the Simplified brand Emily Ley, and women-owned production company Four Eyes Media, where she’s written and produced podcasts for Jen Hatmaker, Annie F. Downs, the Jesus Calling and Jesus Storybook Bible brands, and many more.
She enjoys helping new and seasoned authors solve problems in their manuscripts, adapting books for young readers, editing (and, c’mon, recipe testing!) cookbooks, and working on children’s books in any stage of development. She has an ear for capturing and maintaining an author’s voice, and speaks the languages of the General and Christian markets fluently.
Right now, she’s probably reading (of course), making tacos in her tiny kitchen, or road tripping to somewhere new. There is definitely a cup of tea nearby.
